The French Alphabet from Blessings Counted of
Colorado
Pricing Sheet & Order Form
This is the original version of the French Alphabet. This sampler is custom charted
for each individual so no two samplers will ever look the same. The design company
is based in Colorado and we are very pleased to be able to make this offering. We're
all stitching ours on 35 count fabric with Gloriana silks and we are just loving them.
here are a couple of pictures of the FAS done in soie cristale...compliments of our friend
cathy in fort worth...if you look at the right picture down the bottom...voila...there are
some very handsome kitty eyes looking at you :)
The sampler measures 411 stitches by 411 stitches with the
following design size based on the following fabric counts:
28 count = 29 2/3" square
30 count = 27 3/8" square
32 count = 25 5/8" square
35 count = 23 1/2" square
36 count = 22 7/8" square
40 count = 20 5/8" square
Fiber requirements as follows based on over 2 linen threads (5
yard/6 strand floss)
these numbers can be converted quite easily into silk at 12 ply
28 count - 34 skeins (2 strands over 2 linen threads)
30 count - 32 skeins (2 strands over 2 linen threads)
32 count - 30 skeins (2 strands over 2 linen threads) or
32 count - 15 skeins (1 strand over 2 linen threads)
35 count - 14 skeins (1 strand over 2 linen threads)
36 count - 14 skeins (1 strand over 2 linen threads)

Note: if you are using 12 ply silk - you can cut the
amount of skeins in half but base it on 5 yard skeins of fibers.
